Camille and the Sunflowers by Laurence Arnholt

Camille lived in a patch of sunflowers that grew so high they were higher than him! One day a man came to town.  He told everyone his name was Vincent Van Gogh. He had no friends nor money. Camille and his dad welcomed him with a big stack of sunflowers. Vincent told Camille he would like to paint the whole family – so he did. Camille would sit for hours watching Vincent paint. Everyone teased Camille and Vincent because Vincent’s artwork was so different. Suddenly Vincent had to leave the town!  Read this fascinating story and you will find yourself in Camille’s place!
